Early Literacy Boost at Blooming Little Angels School, Kigali,Rwanda

BOUND FOR CHANGE, in partnership with INSPIRE CHANGE AFRICA, delivered 90 storybooks and 62 scholastic materials to Blooming Little Angels School in Masaka Sector, Kicukiro District.
The outreach reached 57 children (26 boys and 31 girls), mainly from nursery classes (Baby, Middle, and Top) . Among them, 50 learners were aged 0 to 5 and 7 learners were aged 6 to 12.
Children took part in interactive reading sessions, including letter recognition, group reading, and storytelling, with Top Class learners practicing reading aloud.
The donated materials were handed to the school administration to support drawing, writing, and beginner literacy activities, while reading clubs were formed by class level to encourage continuous learning.
Teachers praised the availability of age-appropriate books, and learners expressed excitement at receiving storybooks for the first time. School leadership highlighted the need for continued support to start a school library and strengthen early reading programs.
Through this initiative, BOUND FOR CHANGE and INSPIRE CHANGE AFRICA are helping young children develop strong literacy foundations and a love for reading.

Promoting Literacy at Rise to Shine School, Kigali, Rwanda

BOUND FOR CHANGE, in partnership with INSPIRE CHANGE AFRICA, distributed 80 story and skill-developing books and 57 scholastic materials to Rise to Shine Nursery & Primary School in Masaka Sector, Kicukiro District.
The activity reached 80 children aged 6 to 12 years (38 boys and 42 girls) from Primary 2 and 3. Learners took part in guided reading, group reading, and storytelling sessions, reading individually and sharing stories aloud.
Scholastic materials were provided to support writing, drawing, and ongoing literacy activities, and reading clubs were formed by grade level to sustain learning.
Teachers observed increased learner enthusiasm and interest in reading, while school leadership emphasized the need for continued access to age-appropriate books.
Through this initiative, BOUND FOR CHANGE and INSPIRE CHANGE AFRICA are strengthening literacy and nurturing a love for reading.

Turning Stories into Smiles: Fun Learning at Wisdom Center, Bugesera, Rwanda

BOUND FOR CHANGE, in partnership with INSPIRE CHANGE AFRICA, distributed 90 books and 60 school supplies to inspire children at Wisdom Center Nursery &Primary School.
A total of 90 children aged 6 to 12 years (50 boys and 40 girls) joined interactive reading and storytelling sessions, exploring new books in small groups, sharing stories aloud, and using the supplies to draw and write.
Reading clubs were also formed to help children continue learning together and support one another.
Teachers shared their excitement: “The children were thrilled with the new books and could not wait for the next session. They were fully engaged and curious!”
Through this initiative, BOUND FOR CHANGE and INSPIRE CHANGE AFRICA are helping children discover the joy of reading, grow in confidence, and unlock new opportunities through learning.

Empowering Young Minds: 10 Boxes of Books and Scholastic Materials Sent to Rwanda in Support of INSPIRE CHANGE AFRICA.
We are proud to announce that 10 boxes containing 323 Scholastic materials and 747 story and skill-building books have been sent to Rwanda in support of INSPIRE CHANGE AFRICA.
The shipment departs Paris on 20th December and is expected to arrive in Rwanda by 21st December. These resources will provide children with access to knowledge, skills, and stories that open doors to new worlds and opportunities.
This initiative is part of our ongoing effort to strengthen local educational programs and empower children to imagine and create their futures.

Bringing Light to Learning

We are excited to share that, with the help of additional resources coordinated by BOUND FOR CHANGE, we have supported the purchase of the first projector for the community in Kakuma, Kenya as part of the “Light Up the Dark – Hope for 4,000 Children in Kakuma, Kenya” campaign.
The projector is expected to arrive by the end of December and will be handed over to our partner CODE SOCIETY CBO, Kenya, bringing visual learning resources that will inspire thousands of children to explore new skills, knowledge, and opportunities.
This project is a key step in strengthening local educational initiatives and empowering children to imagine and create their futures.

Educational Support Reaches Children at Cibitoke Shelter and Stella Matutina, Bujumbura, Burundi

BOUND FOR CHANGE, in partnership with Youth Building Synergy to End Poverty (YBSP), delivered storybooks, scholastic supplies, puzzles, and art materials to children in need.
A total of 20 children aged 6 to 15 participated in reading sessions, puzzle solving, and creative activities.
Our team member Alix joined the sessions, engaging with the children and supporting the activities firsthand.
YBSP shared their excitement, stating, "Samuella's eyes lit up as she completed her very first puzzle. Around her, other children laughed and cheered, fully immersed in the joyful challenge." Another child, Chadia, added, "I could not read much French, but I tried the short stories. Learning can be fun."
Through this initiative, BOUND FOR CHANGE and YBSP are helping children develop confidence, curiosity, and joy in learning, turning educational support into lasting and meaningful experiences.
Educational Support Reach Happy Garden School for the third time in Nairobi, Kenya

BOUND FOR CHANGE proudly completed its third distribution of scholastic materials and digital tools in Kenya, in partnership with our partner, Code Society of Kenya.
A total of 51 students, from early learning levels up to Grade 5, along with the administration teams at Happy Garden School received vital educational supplies as 24 Orange Pens,10 White Board Markers and 1 Digital Tablet that will support their learning journey.

Bringing Colour to Happy Garden School, Nairobi, Kenya

Empowering Young Girls through Art, Bujumbura, Burundi
